CNBC Special on Race and the Private Sector
CNBC will air a BEA-CNBC co-hosted special (possibly two one-hour specials) on the role of the business community in dismantling persistent systems of economic injustice for Black Americans. Working toward airing in the next 30 days.
Global Black Economic Forum
The BEA Foundation will play a prominent role in the Global Black Economic Forum program that takes place during Essence Festival in early July. BEA engagement will focus on Black wealth-building, access to capital, and helping businesses navigate crises.
In the absence of in-person events, BEA will continue to host virtual speaker series discussions with thought leaders from the private, nonprofit, and public sectors focusing on the all-hands-on-deck approach needed to achieve comprehensive progress and improve economic opportunity for Black people and businesses.
The BEA Foundation is scoping potential funders and partners to build and execute a program to train and place 1 million black workers for jobs of the current and future workforce over the next ten years.
